The newest wave in
publishing is by the means of EBooks or
Electronic Books. Basically, the EBook is a file
that you download on your computer and view with
a specific reader program. Some of the more
popular readers are Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft
Reader, and uBook Reader. Most of these readers
are also available for handheld devices like
PocketPC or Palm, thus giving you the
portability of real paper books. Nearly all
reader programs are free, while some EBooks may
be copyrighted.

| Adobe Acrobat is a reader used for files
with .PDF extensions. Except for text, it can
display vector graphics, which are used in
maps. |
Microsoft Reader works with files in the
.LIT format. Microsoft exploits this reader to
sell their EBooks. |
uBook Reader is less known, but is very
useful because it reads .TXT and .HTML
files. |

Soccer-Coach-L: Basic Coaching
Manual
Publication
29.7.1999 Author David Graham &
others Lenght 295 Pages (653
Kb) Format .PDF This
EBook was a collaborative project by the members
of a mailing list, who decided to combine their
thoughts on youth coaching. It targets the
management of kids between the ages of 4 to 11.
The EBook has been segmented into sections which
are useful for an inexperienced coach but the
overall book lacks any depth. It fails to
present a general method or a uniform system of
coaching because of the differences of the
various contributors. The lack of any
illustrations or diagrams makes the EBook
slightly less friendly, considering that it is
targeted to the new coaches. Overall, it is a
mediocre manual for the novice, showing the
basics of the game and how to setup practices.
The EBook also deals with the various licensing
that you can get and pinpoints you to other
resources such as books and videos.
